Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until foamy.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, olive oil, and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture.

  3. Stir the ingredients together until a dough forms.

  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into desired portions.

  7. Roll out each portion into a round pizza crust of desired thickness.

  8. Add your favorite toppings and bake in a preheated oven at 450°F (230°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
