Homemade Pizza Dough:
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
In a small bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until foamy.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, olive oil, and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture.
Stir the ingredients together until a dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into desired portions.
Roll out each portion into a round pizza crust of desired thickness.
Add your favorite toppings and bake in a preheated oven at 450°F (230°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
